12 March 2006 - St. Patricks Day parade in Munich
It is that time of the year again and the Bavarian Irish (and our many friends) will be celebrating St. Patricks day with a parade from Münchener Freiheit to Odeonsplatz. This year there will be two stages with music and dance and promises to maintain its name as the largest St. Patricks day parade (out side Ireland of course - see http://www.stpatricksday.de).
The following groups will be dancing: The Emerald Dancers (Munich), Rince Tir na nÓg (Munich), Summerstorm Dance Company (Freising), TWS-Freising (Freising), as well as Dip-N-Divers Square Dance, Irish Setters, Jolly Jigs.
Numerous bands will hopefully help to raise the spirits against the spring weather that we are expecting: Claymore Pipes and Drums, Safado Street Groove Band, Munich Ceili Band, Burning Biscuit Band, Jumpin’ the Fence, Paddy Whack, Ben Lads and the Styles among others....
See you there - regardless of the weather ....
